Nikon D810 14bit RAW vs 12bit s-raw

SLRCLUB의 김태우라는 분이 쓴 내 D810 이야기를 보니 D810이 S-RAW를 지원하네요. 그동안 S-RAW는 캐논만 지원했었지요. 심지어 S-RAW가 두가지 버전이나 있었어요. 어쩔때는 RAW로 찍기는 찍는데 사진개수는 많고 크기도 클 필요없는데 JPEG으로 찍기에는 보정의 톨러런스가 좀 아쉽고 할때 딱 S-RAW가 딱이었지요. 이 매뉴는 니콘으로 가고말고하는 deal breaker정도 되는 아주 큰 기능이었지요.

니콘 D810기종에 있다는 것에도 놀랐는데 글쓴이가 비교한 14bit과 12bit의 차이에서 기절. 제가 가진 캐논기종은 다 12bit인데 니콘만큼도 안나올듯. 5EV는 진짜 극단의 테스트이긴 한데 14bit 테스트 결과에 기절~

니콘이 참 좋긴 좋네요.

캐논 DR이 이제야 좋아졌네

저는 DR의 차이를 수치말고는 잘 못느끼는 편이라 큰 문제가 없었지만 경쟁사에 비해서 말도안되는 스펙차였지요. 저도 못느꼈으니 캐논도 그냥 배째라하면서 장사한것이지만. DxoMark에서 최근것을 비교해보니 많이 좋아졌네요.

그래도 카메라 기본이엔 니콘만한 가격과 바디 완성도는 없는것 같네요. 크롭이어도 상관없으면 D5500에다 단렌즈 2개만 사면 진짜 화려한 사진생활 할수 있을것 같습니다.

Nikon D7100 body only - $499

11월말 - 12월 크리스마스 전까지는 미국에서 그동안 모아두었던 돈을 쓰는 달이지요. 전체 소비의 30%이상이 이 쇼핑시즌에서 나온다고 하지요. 요즘은 기간이 좀더 늘어나는 분위기에요. 아마존도 할일은 11월부터 하겠다고 하고 다른 애들도 좀더 일찍하려는 분위기 입니다. 좀더 많이 팔려고 하는것 같은데요, 거꾸로 보면 먹고 살기 어렵다보니 싸게라도 팔겠다 뭐 이런것으로 보이기도 하고요.


니콘 마운트 렌즈도 없으면서 사고 싶네요. Refurbished 이긴 합니다만 가격이 다 용서하고도 남지요.

Nikon D7200 - 크롭 카메라의 끝은 어디일까

FF(Full Frame)이 좋은점이 상당히 많기는 한데, 가격도 그렇고 크기도 그렇고 단점이 많아 APS-C 크랍 카메라의 장점도 무시할수가 없는데 니콘 D7200은 다시한번 크롭 카메라의 역사를 쓰는것 같네요. 캐논이 10년째 지지부진한 사골 센서로 카메라를 만드는 모습과 많이 비교됩니다.

니콘 카메라는 잘 만드는데 많이 못파는 것과 방향과 마케팅에 상당히 문제가 많은것 같습니다. 주가가 계속 지지부진한것 모면요.

Conclusion

Pros

  • Best-yet APS-C image quality: good JPEGs and extensive Raw dynamic range
  • Class-leading low-light performance
  • Impressive AF subject tracking performance through the viewfinder
  • All AF points continue to work down to -3EV
  • Wide AF area with dense 51-point coverage
  • Well-implemented Auto ISO feature also available in M mode
  • Flat Picture Control for more gradable video footage
  • Quick and fairly simple Wi-Fi implementation
  • Very good ergonomics and interface design
  • Excellent battery life
  • In-camera Raw processing
  • Reasonably small, light body for a DSLR at this level

Cons

  • No control of aperture in movie or live view modes
  • Lack of peripheral cross-type AF points
  • No representation of exposure in live view
  • Movie autofocus is too fast and jumpy
  • Live view autofocus too awkward and slow to use in many applications
  • Wi-Fi app rather limited (and behavior inconsistent)
  • Secondary sensor AF less accurate than on-sensor focus systems

Nikno D5500 추천

니콘 D5500 정도면, 35mm 단렌즈 하나랑 충분히 아마추어 작품활동할만하다고 생각되어 집니다. 캐논거 다 팔고 이거 하나 사고 싶네요.

  • Fine detail in JPEGs can get smudged at higher ISOs

  • No exposure simulation in live view
  • Buttons are very small
  • Very basic, often unreliable smartphone app

센서 성능이 캐논 기종과 비교하면 정말 넘사벽이네요. DxOMark 센서성능으로는 캐논 Full Frame(FF)도 바를 기세네요. 니콘이 카메라는 잘 만드는데, 다른게 좀 떨어지네요. 고집좀 일찍 버렸으면 대성했을텐데.
