제가 알기로 사람들이 제일 많이 쓰는 bittorrent client가 uTorrent로 알고 있는데 최근버전에서 bitcoin을 mining하는 툴을 심었다고 합니다. Control panel에서 add or remove program에서 제거할수 있지만 파일이 그래도 남는다네요. 위치는 여기라는데, 제가 같은 버전을 쓰고 있어서 확인해보니 없습니다. 제가 제거한 기억은 없고 저한테만 설치안했을리 없으니 어디다 숨겨놨네요.

Also, several executable files (epicscale.exe and epicscale64.exe) as well as multiple .dll files were left in ProgramData\EpicScale and sub folders after uninstalling EpicScale through the control panel.

한국말고 뮤토렌트라 하기도 하고 유토렌트라 하기도 하지요. 처음에 시작은 정말 작고 빠른 프로그램으로 시작했는데 역시 수입이 없이 오래동안 유지보수까지 할수가 없지요. 광고도 넣고 Pro버전도 만들어 Pro버전을 하도록 유도하고 donation도 받고. 결국 마지막에 선택한 것이 비트코인이라도 벌어보자 하는것 같습니다. 이해는 하지만 충분히 설명하지 않은점이 괘씸하네요. 많은 사용자들이 이렇게 외치고 있네요.

다행히 바이러스도 아니고 spyware도 아닙니다. 영어로는 riskware라고 얘기하고 있네요.
