사람들은 불합리하고 비논리적이고 자기중심적이다.
그래도 사랑하십시오.

당신이 선한 일을 하면
이기적인 동기에서 하는 거라고 비난 받을 것이다.
그래도 좋은 일을 하십시오.

당신이 성실하면 거짓된 친구들과 참된 적을 만날 것이다.
그래도 사랑하십시오.

당신이 선한 일을 하면 내일은 잊혀질 것이다.
그래도 선을 행하십시오.

당신이 정직하고 솔직하면 상처를 받을 것이다.
그래도 정직하고 솔직하십시오.

당신이 여러 해 동안 만든 것이 하룻밤에 무너질지 모른다.
그래도 만드십시오.

사람들은 도움이 필요하면서도 도와주면 공격할지 모른다.

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.  
Forgive them anyway.

           
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.  
Be kind anyway.


If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.  
Succeed anyway.

           
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.  
Be honest and sincere anyway.


What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.  
Create anyway.


If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.  
Be happy anyway.

          
The good you do today, will often be forgotten.  
Do good anyway.

         
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.  
Give your best anyway.

         
In the final analysis, it is between you and God.  
It was never between you and them anyway.
